What am I up to?
Year in Review
Wow—what a year it’s been! Before things get wild again, I wanted to share a little recap of the amazing (and slightly chaotic) journey this past year has brought. Here’s a small list 😉
• Winter Small Works 2024 – Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
Kicked off the year with some little gems in one of my favourite shows.
• “This is Us” – Group show at the Gage Gallery
Such a fun and meaningful exhibit to be part of.
• A few epic commissions
Thank you to everyone who trusted me to bring their ideas to life!
• Exhibiting at the Saanich Municipal Hall (Feb–April)
A lovely opportunity to share my work with the community.
• Island travels with my brother
Gathering inspiration (and sibling rivalry energy) for our September show Rivalry – Sister VS Brother.
• Greeting cards now in the AGGV gift shop!
Still can’t believe this one. :O
• Teaching a 3D sunflower workshop
So much joy in sharing creative play with others.
• Summer Small Works 2025
Three pieces accepted, two sold right in the show, and the last one sold privately—thank you!
• Sooke Secret Garden Tour & Art Walk
Huge love to Sue—your garden and friendship mean the world.
• Moss Street Paint-In
Absolutely epic this year. Perfect weather, massive turnout—a true highlight.
• San Josef Bay with the fam
A soul-filling break in between the madness.
• Sooke Music & Arts Festival + Bowker Creek Brush-Up
Back-to-back art joy! This island’s art community continues to blow me away.
• THE BIG SHOW: Rivalry – Sister VS Brother
What a ride! A massive success and such a meaningful milestone. Thank you to everyone who came out to support. (And no, I am not planning the next one yet. I need a nap.)
Coming Up Next
And because slowing down isn’t in my vocabulary… here’s what’s next:
• Winter Small Works 2025
I’ll have two pieces in this year’s show. Can’t wait to see the display—they always outdo themselves.
• Art Peace at the Gage Gallery (Dec 9–24)
Sharing bright, cheerful work for these strange times. Opening reception: Dec 13, 5–8pm.
• Square Foot Show – Dec 11
Thrilled to be part of this one! More details coming soon.
A Big Thank You
This year I sold 16 paintings, including a special piece that went home with the sweetest newlyweds who wanted a meaningful memento from their honeymoon (other than the honeymoon itself 😄).
Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and for being part of this wild, wonderful journey. I truly couldn’t do it without you.
Here’s to more colour, more connection, and maybe… just maybe… a tiny bit of rest before the new year 💛
